3 Techniques Of Designing a Website

As a web designer, surely you must know first the basic techniques in  designing a website. A wide range of website design that attractive, beautiful and chic made under 3 (three) theory :

    * Ice design technic
    * Water design technic
    * Jelly design technic

1.) Ice design technic

From the name "ice" means a substance is frozen solid and had formed in accordance with the wishes of the maker. In the web world, this design means the appearance of your website homepage or nature is fixed  sized. Means the size of web elements have been determined by web designer. Example:

The text above is an example of a TABLE tag (for creating a table) that have been  on-set fixed width of 770 pixels. Using  the unit pixel because the display table will be "dead" or is not proportional, in this case there are some drawbacks :

    * If  table width is 770 pixels and resolution which is used by browser is 640x480 , it will happen scrolling in the browser. This of course would interfere navigation and display. 

    * With a 770 pixel width it means the display will look neat when browsers using a minimum resolution of 800x600.

    * Sometimes have to be adjusted first to the existing content in the web to make it look more presentable.

    Advantages of this technique are:
    This method is easy to implement, because it does not need to compare between  design and appearance, so no need to test the results back and forth between HTML editor and browser.

2.) Water design technic

It was like a liquid substance will change shape according to the container. In this web design means your website will be flexible. Examples of this technique is characterized by the use of numbers percentage in some element tag of your website.
Example:

The example above is an example of a TABLE tag (in the manufacture of table) which will allocate a table width of 70% of the width of  browser used at that time. It also contains advantages and shortcomings :

    Disadvantages:
    You will find difficulty when test the process of alternating  results between HTML editor and browser. This is because you have to tries range and display the percentage of browser and screen resolution.

    Advantages: :
    The results of the website design will look good even if you use regardless of screen resolution. This is due to the ease and flexibility water engineering. Of course this should also be tailored to the type of content  of your website.

3.) Jelly design technic
This technique is a combination of the two techniques above, water and ice. Jelly is a substance that is not exactly a liquid or practically solid. If you ever see this jelly food products in the market you will see that the jelly is completely unique look either form or flavor.

In the example above is a TABLE tag (for the manufacture of a table) where the TABLE tag has some elements of WIDTH (for set the width of the table) and HEIGHT (to set the table height). On the example above given example when setting WIDTH elements used  fixed size of 770 pixels but to set HEIGHT element  proportion that is 100% of  high of the browser.
For jelly technique you should need extra energy due to excess in both the above techniques are combined into a single and weaknesses as well combined but the results would be great.
